Model Unit Grand Opening

This past March, Fifth Avenue Builders (FAB) and Housing Opportunities Unlimited (HOU) held a model unit grand opening at Bronx River Addition B11, giving residents a first look at their future homes. The grand opening celebrated the close collaboration between residents and the design-build team over the preceding months. The current unit design was decided upon by residents through in-person voting events led by the FAB team. The results are reflected across the unit; the paint colors, backsplashes, hardware, and tiling used in kitchens and bathrooms were all chosen by residents.

FAB and HOU staff continued to hold model unit viewings through the spring and summer. These viewings gave residents greater clarity about what the renovations of B11 and B12 will deliver, in addition to practical experience using the appliances, hardware, and HVAC systems, including in-unit heat pumps, that will be included in their future homes.
